DesignPro – How to Map a Configuration File
Users will need a configuration file setup if they are going to create and share palettes and create and share templates. This article is for the IT service professional to follow along step by step. “Using DesignPro Config file¬†
The benefit of using this file is being able to set up the code it pulls automatically and to control the behavior of the activations.
The DesignPro Config file can be found in the following locations:
Mac: /Library/ApplicationSupport/efiFieryDesignPro/config/
PC: C:\Program Data\efiFieryDesignPro\config\
For Mac users:
If the folder is not set up on a shared drive and this is a brand new installation, create a folder called “DesignPro” on a shared drive and inside, put a folder called “Design Pro_Palettes”.n
-Right click on the Design Pro_Palettes folder.

-Choose Get Info and copy the path next to “Where:”

-Open DesignProConfig.ini file in /library >application support>eFieryDesignPro

*The second line from the top says “Data=path/to/your/design/utilities/”*

Paste the same path after each line that has an = where the placeholder path is

*It should look something like this:
Data=Volumes/DesignPro/Design Pro_Palettes*

-Save this text file and close.
For PC users:

 -Right click on the Design Pro_Palettes folder.

-Choose Get Info and copy the path next to “Location:”

-Open DesignProConfig.ini file in C drive:\ProgramData\eFieryDesignPro\config\

*The second line from the top says “Data=path\to\your\design\utilities\”*

*The last line says “ColoristTemplates=path\to\your\colorist\templates\”*

-Paste the path after “Data=” and in the last line after “ColoristTemplates=”.

*It should look something like this Data=H:\DesignPro\Design Pro_Palettes*

-Save this text file and close.
