How to Use Dimension Tools

Select art in Illustrator. It can be vector art or placed raster images. When you click the Dimension or Ruler Tool, you will see dimensions or gridded rulers around the art. If you hold down shift and multi-select more than one image or motif, you can get dimensions around all of it. To remove the dimensions or rulers, click the Dimension and Ruler buttons again.
